Official statement on Operation Talent

We have just published a guide on how everyone can recover their funds whilst we work on bringing Sellix back online: join our comms telegram channel at SellixHQ to stay up to date and receive news and official announcements.

Sellix acknowledges the recent seizure of our website in connection with Operation Talent. From the very beginning, we have fully cooperated with authorities, voluntarily assisting law enforcement throughout the process. This has included granting access to our systems, devices, and accounts, as well as providing technical support whenever needed.

Sellix is a legally registered platform that facilitates e-commerce, enabling businesses to accept payments in crypto-assets from their clients. As a holder of the Italian OAM license as a crypto-asset service provider, Sellix has always operated in compliance with applicable regulations and was fully authorized to provide the services it offered. We serve hundreds of legitimate e-commerce businesses and have never engaged voluntarily in the distribution of cracked software, stolen credentials, or hacking tools.

Being included in Operation Talent is both surprising and completely unexpected, given the serious and compliant approach that Sellix has consistently taken as a crypto-asset service provider operating within the legal framework. The Operation Talent businesses mentioned that used Sellix (Cracked, StarkRDP, RDPsh) accounted for less than 0.1% of total revenues and profits, and Sellix was not aware of any specific illegal transactions conducted through its platform in connection with Cracked. While a very small amount of businesses using Sellix have been subject to investigations and enforcement actions, we have consistently cooperated with law enforcement to the best of our abilities to prevent illegal goods and services being distributed.

We have systems in place, both automated and manual to detect and block the sale of illegal products and services which have been operating since the inception of our company.

Clearly, we are deeply disappointed by this situation. We are fully aware that the reputational damage to Sellix will be massive, and at this point, it is likely that the future of our business has been irreparably compromised—even if, as we strongly believe, we are fully exonerated once we will be granted the opportunity to properly defend ourselves.

We firmly maintain that Sellix is not involved in the alleged crimes and trust that the ongoing legal process will ultimately confirm this.

As the case moves forward, we remain committed to defending our interests while upholding the highest standards of legal and ethical business practices. We appreciate the continued patience and support of our users, partners, and stakeholders as we work through this process.

We will work with our lawyers to explore all legally feasible paths that could enable the enforcement agencies to reinstate services, though this may take additional time. In the meantime, merchants should consider exploring other solutions until we are back online. Please rest assured, no funds have been lost — your funds are safe.
